The Azores cruise ship replaces Cruise and Maritime’s Discovery in a fleet of traditional and elegant ships. Eight passenger decks serviced by 2 lifts and a stunning promenade to explore makes Azores one of the more handsome cruise ships on the water today.
With room for only 550 passengers, the Azores isn’t nowhere as large as the majority of ships sailing today, which ensures that it is a comfortable and intimate space to sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.
Between port calls, the Azores offers a whole host of entertainment for passengers to enjoy. Comfortable lounges, scrumptious meals and spa and fitness facilities mean that there is something for every guest onboard to enjoy.
For the more active guests, the state of the art gym offers a place to work up a sweat and an unheated outdoor pool to sluice it off - followed by a warm and soothing sauna or a muscle-relaxing massage, what could be better?
Guests more interested in exercising their intellectual muscles will delight in learning more about a particular topic from a passionate guest speaker - ranging from maritime history to criminology, expert talks are generally scheduled to take place during days at sea to ensure that all guests have the opportunity to learn a little something extra.
The more creative among us may enjoy practicing a new crafting skill taught by one of the many experts on board in the style of the crafting television shows which are quickly gaining popularity.
Resident Acts and Guest Entertainers
Following a delicious evening meal at one of the fine restaurants onboard why not take in a show? The Azores has a dedicated and supremely comfortable Show Lounge where resident acts as well as guest entertainers ensure your evening finishes with a bang before you head off to your ensuite cabins, most of which offer ocean views. There are cabins in styles and prices to suite every taste and budget.
Day or night, the quiz and card tables available in the card and bridge room as well as the onboard library offer a calming get away - a holiday away from your holiday, you might say. Meet new friends here or indulge your shopping urges in the ship’s boutique. Finally, the Azores cinema offers a selection of films.

Luckily, aboard the Azores, this results only in indulgence and delight as your taste buds sample the delicious fresh fare available in the ships Olissipo restaurant or, more casually, in the buffet style Lotus lounge.
An after dinner drink in the Calypso show lounge is sure to entertain, while the Azores lounge is situated in close proximity to the casino for those who fancy trying their luck.
