The P&O Arcadia was originally built as the perfect ship for British travellers. However, Carnival Corporation who own P&O gave the ship more of an international feel rather than the traditional British ambience.
One of the many advantages of the ship’s adults only status, the Arcadia was the first of the P&O Cruise’s fleet on which the captain could perform marriage ceremonies. What could be more romantic than getting married onboard a beautiful ship at sea?
The Arcadia cruise ship does have some extravagant features that are all her own. The exterior elevators have glass fronts so you can enjoy the views even while moving between decks. There is a sophisticated and expensive art collection on board made up of 3,000 pieces of art.
The Sky Deck offers scenic views as well as places to dine such as the Orchard Bar and the Orchard Restaurant. This restaurant specializes in an Asian fusion menu. Those passengers who enjoy great food will be in heaven onboard. Besides the Orchard Restaurant, there is Marco Pierre White’s Ocean Grill restaurant.
The P&O Arcadia has a number of smaller more casual choices where you can relax with a drink or a glass of wine. These include The Rising Sun Pub, The Piano Bar, and Caffe Vivo. You can even take a shopping break at the Piccadilly shopping area on Deck 3.
For the ultimate relaxation, enjoy the Oasis spa that is complete with a hydrotherapy pool. A variety of health and beauty treatments are available in the spa as well as exercise equipment and a swimming pool with sun deck. In the evenings you can enjoy fun in the casino or shows at the Palladium Theatre. You’ll find live music and even comedy in the Electra Night Club and The Globe. Click to see the Arcadia Itineraries
