Welcome to Royal Caribbean UK International, the cruise line that delivers the "Wow!" and the one that put a surfing simulator, rock-climbing walls, ice-skating rinks and other innovative amenities on cruise ships. Whether you've sailed with us before or have just seen our commercials on TV, you may have the sense that we're not your average cruise line.
With more than 170 destinations worldwide and an amazing array of exciting shore excursions and cruisetour options, we're reaching out to vacationers eager to try something new - whether it's glacier-trekking in Alaska, cave-tubing in Belize or biking through the vineyards of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
As the "Get Out There" cruise vacation alternative,a Royal Caribbean cruise ship offers itineraries, activities and amenities designed to appeal to every taste, energy level and age group giving our guests the opportunity to create their own adventure. Our guests seem to agree with our philosophy: Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor customer loyalty program recently enrolled its four millionth guest.
In May 2006, we were proud to welcome the the new Royal Caribbean cruise ship Freedom of the Seas. As the world's largest and most innovative ship, Freedom of the Seas is the first of our Freedom-class of ships featuring signature-class amenities such as the FlowRider surfing simulator, a 14-person family suite and cantilevered whirlpools suspended 112 feet above the sea. She will be followed by a sister ship, Liberty of the Seas, in May 2007 and a third Freedom-class ship in 2008.
We are also in the midst of an aggressive program of ship revitalization, one that promises to help keep the cruising experience fresh for our repeat guests and equally exciting for our new ones. In January 2007, Majesty of the Seas, popular with both first-time and seasoned cruisers, undergoes extensive renovations extending to every area of the ship.
Our ships, destinations and amenities aren't the only reasons why Royal Caribbean UK is a great cruise line.
We're a great company because of our people, who deliver Gold Anchor Service to our guests and travel partners every day. Not only that, but wherever we go, whatever we do, we take our values with us. We know that our acceptance in the communities we call home and the ports we visit depends on our living up to high standards of corporate citizenship. For that reason, Royal Caribbean UK invests in community organizations and initiatives to enhance the quality of life in communities all over the world.
Second only to our people is our commitment to the environment. Royal Caribbean International has implemented stringent environmental practices and procedures that help preserve the world's oceans. Our company also created the Ocean Fund, which supports marine conservation organizations in their efforts to preserve the ecosystems of the world's oceans. Since the fund began in 1996, we've awarded almost $7.1 million to 52 organizations involved in marine conservation research, education and innovative technologies.
