This extra special River Cruise offers the chance to visit five Christmas Markets in five days, sampling the festive traditions and wonderful hospitality of some of Europe's most appealing towns and cities. Admire the magnificent architecture, discover an array of unique gift ideas and revel in the seasonal atmosphere.

Day 1
Early morning coach pick ups to Dover / Folkestone for crossing to Calais. We then journey to Rudesheim, where you will join the vessel. After dinner, take advantage of our optional excursion to Siegfried's Mechanical Musik Kabinett, which includes a seasonal Gluhwein tasting.

Day 2
Rudesheim - Mainz. Cruise to the city of Mainz and explore the festive stalls in the historic market square, taking in the city's lovely half timbered houses and magnificent baroque churches.. Alternatively you may wish to join our optional excursion to Frankfurt's famous Christmas Markets, where you can celebrate Advent in the German style. In the evening there will be ample free time in Mainz

Day 3
Today we arrive in Mannheim from where we include an excursion to Heidelberg's Christmas Markets, spanning across five cobble stoned squares and set against the beautiful backdrop of the city's famous pink sandstone castle. In the evening we rejoin the vessel in Karlsruhe in time for dinner.

Day 4
We cruise to Strasbourg, home of one of France's oldest Christmas markets, which are located within the cobbled streets of Petite France. Join our optional excursion to Freiburg's Christmas Markets.

Day 5
After breakfast we leave Strasbourg and journey to Calais for the return crossing to the UK. On arrival we will return you to your original pick up point.
